Dear friends,
once again, recent events have left me in a state where I temporarily have a hard time listening to or thinking about the happy pop music of days gone by. I’m sure you can understand. Like everything else, it’ll pass.
The only thing those events have motivated me to do is complete my special series of reviews for the Mass Effect Trilogy, so I’m currently finding solace in replaying Mass Effect 3 and trying to explain in written form why the game’s ending sucks nowhere near as hard as common opinion would have us believe. But it’s a difficult job, so it’ll take some time. I may have another little side project, musically related and a bit easier to accomplish for me right now, coming up in the nearest couple of weeks, but no firm guarantees here.
In the meantime, I’m simply trying to cling on to the “darkest hour” adage, although the more time goes by, the more I have to keep redefining the meaning of “dark”.
See you soon!
George
PS. Yes, the picture above is pretty close to the actual view from my window right now.
Your work is much appreciated whenever you find motivation for it, and your resilience in the darkness is admirable. Take as much time as you need!
Take as much time as you want George. I've been reading you for about 15 years and I still haven't listened to the same music as you. your work is unfathomable. So don't worry, relax as much as you like.
