I'm a little out of my depth on this one, but I would have thought -- in the same vein -- the Shadows of Knight deserved the spotlight here. Were early precursors of much that followed. As for Australian rock, do hope you'll review the Easybeats at some point, now there were an Aussie group fully deserving of a longer run for their money -- instead of being remembered for one brilliant song (that made no less than Paul McCartney stop his taxi to listen to!) and indirectly led to AC/DC.
Thanks for the link. Trust we can eventiually enjoy your thoughts on Friday on my Mind. Such an utterly brilliant song which seemed to come out of nowhere but I now see was alreay in the 'cooking pot' so to speak of the early Easybeats.
Gooo George. I had no idea about this band. Your reviews are invaluable.
Great to see an Aussie band get their due. Our garage scene in the mid-sixties was brilliant.
No argument here!

Well,
1) The Shadows Of Knight had their first LP in April 1966, and I'm not there yet with my regular schedule;
2) I HAVE reviewed the Easybeats - at least, the debut album - already: https://onlysolitaire.substack.com/p/review-the-easybeats-easy-1965
