Incredible article, so well written that I wish I knew more about jazz to enjoy your music posts as well as I do with this. Just a couple of comments from me
- Dave Cummins died in 2008 and no one but the other Revolution guys will ever know how much of the adventures of that house up to Broken Sword are his thing or how much is Cecil or anyone else. There is definitely a wildly different mood between pre Broken Sword games and post.
- Graphics are definitely influenced by the Amiga palette. This is something I see in many games of that early VGA era (VGA entered in late 1989, so released games with use of it concentrated at the end of 1990s) - they were drawn in Deluxe Paint and easily ported to the generous VGA palette.
- Game has one of the most outstanding uses of the extended CM-32L module, using its library as sound effects of rain, wind, etc. It sounds really spectacular. How much I love when sound design is taken care of in a game, and how this almost never happens.
