Proof, if proof need be, that I (well, my parents actually!) did well to return to the U.S. in 1962, so that I was spared these marshmellowy albums from the earliest years of the 1960's. My first encounter with Dion was 'The Wanderer', so he could do no wrong for me, at least not until the Beatles made him (and Bobby Vinton and Bobby Rydell and all the other lovable Bobbys of the period) instant has-beens.
