I was only familiar with Chandler via "Duke of Earl" before, and this review made me listen to this album. I liked it - not too much, it's kind of generic, but "my kind of generic". Interestingly, my favourite Doo-Wop revival group, The Darts, somehow manage not to turn flamboyance to 11 on their cover of "Duke", despite this being their usual approach, so it doesn't sound that more interesting than the original, despite slightly better production values.
