Tracks: 1) Road Runner; 2) Summertime; 3) I Can’t Make Up My Mind; 4) The Way I Feel Inside; 5) Work ’N ’ Play; 6) You’ve Really Got A Hold On Me; 7) She’s Not There; 8) Sticks And Stones; 9) Can’t Nobody Love You; 10) Woman; 11) I Don’t Want To Know; 12) I Remember When I Loved Her; 13) What More Can I Do; 14) I’ve Got My Mojo Working.
I love the group name but yeah, quite inadequate. Maybe they should have exchanged names with The Pretty Things (now that's a perfect name for every occasion). I bought this album in LP format on a whim and I liked it; but the covers except Summertime (that was a surprise) are like another album. It was only when I got that massive 42 song collection (The Singles Collection: As & Bs) with virtually every single and more that I understood the Zombies greatness. It was a total revelation to be honest.
The alternate vocal of "Leave Me Be" is so much better than the one used on the (overdubbed) single, it isn't even funny. Curious which one you're reacting to. Colin's vocal on the overdub is weak weak weak and ill-suited for the track.
George, can I suggest a different reading of She's Not There? I don't believe there's any implied violence being suggested. Rather that the girl in question is what is usually referred to as a "bimbo", empty-headed. Thus not there.

Will the Zombies be getting their own page on the main website? (this was a really great review by the way)
